Happy Father’s Day this month and I hope everyone is enjoying the warm summer weather. What a great time of year it is with many of us taking vacation time to recharge or plan activities with our families now that school is out for the summer. For those members who prefer to take time off later in the year, the PMIGL team has professional development opportunities for you to participate in. Please refer to our calendar for upcoming events. 

It is PMI national election time and the Nominating Committee narrowed down the list to six diverse candidates who have the experience and qualifications to represent PMI’s global membership. As PMI members, we are eligible to vote for four candidates to serve on the 2024–2026 PMI Board of Directors. The election is open until 6-26 and I encourage you to review the email from PMI with your personalized link and cast your vote.

MemberAppreciationandJobFair.pngPMIGL is planning a special event to show our appreciation for our members who have chosen to join and be a part of our chapter. We know that our growth is, in part, due to your choosing us and we would like to express our thanks to you. 

Cost is only $15 for members and non-members. Paid PMIGL members who attend will be reimbursed the $15 fee after the event. Non-members will not be reimbursed, but will be invited to a happy hour event at no cost. Learn more and register.

As I watched The Little Mermaid recently, I was struck by the parallels between the story of Ariel transforming into a human and the change journey we undertake as project leaders.
